The Oprah quote above resonates particularly this year. Weve all struggled, and weve all found unanticipated strength in our struggles.
We hear you. We see you. We absolutely believe in you, and your ability to dig deep to find your story.
Are you serene, concerned, coping, having a hard time, writing, obstructed, insane, or something else? We would like to know if you are prepared to share.
This isnt a political post, this is a “how are you doing, actually” post. We genuinely need to know.
Today we pick to commemorate YOU, our writing household online. We are blessed that you pick to hang around with us weekly, monthly, every year. We want to know how you are doing.
Here in the US, with COVID case counts spiking, things are feeling particularly hard. The usual Independence Day rules do not use this year.
It is an understatement to state it has been a tough several months around the globe. In the face of this pandemic, much of our readers here at WITS are dragging. Much of us behind the scenes are dragging. Everyone are working hard to keep our spirits up to write another day.
Some writers have informed me they do pretty much the same thing they did before the pandemic – stay house and write. Other writers have actually informed me their world has changed and they are fighting to make a living. Still more have informed me the state of the world has dropped them into anguish.
What are you battling with? And what unforeseen strengths have you found?
Big Hugs to YOU, from Your Team at Writers In the Storm
