We’re Celebrating Our Readers Today

It is an understatement to state it has actually been a tough several months around the globe. In the face of this pandemic, a number of our readers here at WITS are dragging. A number of us behind the scenes are dragging. All of us are working hard to keep our spirits up to write another day.

We hear you. We see you. We absolutely believe in you, and your ability to dig deep to discover your story.

Here in the United States, with COVID case counts spiking, things are feeling particularly hard. The usual Independence Day guidelines do not use this year. There are no parties, no fireworks, no parades. Health officials are universal in their message: “The most patriotic thing Americans can do this year is to stay at house.” Everyone does not agree.

The Oprah quote above resonates especially this year. Weve all struggled, and weve all found unforeseen strength in our battles.

Today we pick to celebrate YOU, our composing family online. We are blessed that you select to hang out with us weekly, every month, every year. We want to know how you are doing.

However this isnt a political post, this is a “how are you doing, truly” post. We really would like to know.

Some authors have informed me they do basically the same thing they did prior to the pandemic – remain home and write. Other writers have informed me their world has actually changed and they are combating to earn a living. Still more have informed me the state of the world has plunged them into misery.
