Here in the US, with COVID case counts spiking, things are feeling especially hard. The typical Independence Day rules do not apply this year. There are no celebrations, no fireworks, no parades. Health authorities are universal in their message: “The most patriotic thing Americans can do this year is to remain at house.” Everyone does not concur.
The Oprah quote above resonates particularly this year. Weve all struggled, and weve all found unforeseen strength in our battles.
Numerous of us behind the scenes are dragging. All of us are working hard to keep our spirits up to write another day.
Some writers have told me they do basically the same thing they did before the pandemic – remain house and write. Other authors have told me their world has changed and they are fighting to make a living. Still more have actually informed me the state of the world has dropped them into misery.
We hear you. We see you. We absolutely think in you, and your capability to dig deep to find your story.
Today we pick to celebrate YOU, our writing family online. We are blessed that you pick to hang out with us each week, on a monthly basis, every year. We need to know how you are doing.
This isnt a political post, this is a “how are you doing, truly” post. We truly wish to know.
But we do wish to know … How are you doing? How are you actually doing? Are you peaceful, concerned, coping, having a hard time, composing, obstructed, insane, or something else? We would love to know if you want to share.
What are you fighting with? And what unexpected strengths have you discovered?
Huge Hugs to YOU, from Your Team at Writers In the Storm
