We’re Celebrating Our Readers Today

But this isnt a political post, this is a “how are you doing, actually” post. We really desire to know.

Some writers have told me they do basically the exact same thing they did before the pandemic – stay house and write. Other writers have actually told me their world has altered and they are fighting to earn a living. Still more have told me the state of the world has plummeted them into despair.

Are you serene, worried, coping, having a hard time, composing, blocked, crazy, or something else? We would like to understand if you are ready to share.

We hear you. We see you. We absolutely think in you, and your ability to dig deep to discover your story.

Today we select to celebrate YOU, our writing household online. We are blessed that you pick to hang out with us every week, on a monthly basis, every year. We want to know how you are doing.

Many of us behind the scenes are dragging. All of us are working hard to keep our spirits up to compose another day.

The Oprah quote above resonates especially this year. Weve all had a hard time, and weve all discovered unanticipated strength in our struggles.

Here in the United States, with COVID case counts spiking, things are feeling especially hard. The normal Independence Day rules do not use this year. There are no celebrations, no fireworks, no parades. Health authorities are universal in their message: “The most patriotic thing Americans can do this year is to remain at home.” Everyone does not agree.

What are you dealing with? And what unanticipated strengths have you discovered?
