We’re Celebrating Our Readers Today

Numerous of us behind the scenes are dragging. All of us are working hard to keep our spirits up to compose another day.

The Oprah quote above resonates especially this year. Weve all struggled, and weve all found unforeseen strength in our battles.

This isnt a political post, this is a “how are you doing, really” post. We really would like to know.

Some writers have actually informed me they do quite much the same thing they did before the pandemic – stay home and compose. Other writers have actually told me their world has altered and they are fighting to make a living. Still more have informed me the state of the world has plummeted them into misery.

Here in the United States, with COVID case counts spiking, things are feeling especially hard. The normal Independence Day guidelines do not use this year. There are no celebrations, no fireworks, no parades. Health authorities are universal in their message: “The most patriotic thing Americans can do this year is to remain at house.” Everybody does not concur.

We do want to understand … How are you doing? How are you actually doing? Are you serene, concerned, coping, struggling, composing, blocked, crazy, or something else? We would love to understand if you want to share.

We hear you. We see you. We definitely think in you, and your capability to dig deep to discover your story.

Today we select to celebrate YOU, our writing family online. We are blessed that you choose to hang out with us weekly, each month, every year. We need to know how you are doing.

What are you fighting with? And what unforeseen strengths have you discovered?
