Here in the US, with COVID case counts spiking, things are feeling especially hard. The typical Independence Day rules do not apply this year. There are no celebrations, no fireworks, no parades. Health authorities are universal in their message: “The most patriotic thing Americans can do this year is to remain at house.” Everyone does not agree.
The Oprah quote above resonates especially this year. Weve all had a hard time, and weve all discovered unexpected strength in our battles.
This isnt a political post, this is a “how are you doing, really” post. We genuinely would like to know.
Today we pick to celebrate YOU, our writing family online. We are blessed that you choose to hang around with us each week, monthly, every year. We would like to know how you are doing.

Other writers have actually informed me their world has altered and they are battling to earn a living. Still more have informed me the state of the world has plummeted them into anguish.
