Some writers have actually told me they do basically the same thing they did prior to the pandemic – remain house and write. Other authors have actually told me their world has actually altered and they are fighting to make a living. Still more have told me the state of the world has plummeted them into despair.
Are you tranquil, concerned, coping, having a hard time, writing, blocked, insane, or something else? We would enjoy to understand if you are prepared to share.
Here in the US, with COVID case counts spiking, things are feeling especially hard. The normal Independence Day rules do not apply this year. There are no celebrations, no fireworks, no parades. Health officials are universal in their message: “The most patriotic thing Americans can do this year is to remain at house.” Everyone does not agree.
But this isnt a political post, this is a “how are you doing, actually” post. We truly would like to know.
It is an understatement to say it has been a difficult several months worldwide. In the face of this pandemic, numerous of our readers here at WITS are dragging. A number of us behind the scenes are dragging. Everybody are working hard to keep our spirits up to write another day.
The Oprah quote above resonates especially this year. Weve all had a hard time, and weve all discovered unforeseen strength in our struggles.
We hear you. We see you. We absolutely think in you, and your ability to dig deep to find your story.
Today we select to commemorate YOU, our writing family online. We are blessed that you pick to hang out with us weekly, monthly, every year. We need to know how you are doing.
What are you fighting with? And what unanticipated strengths have you found?
Huge Hugs to YOU, from Your Team at Writers In the Storm
