This isnt a political post, this is a “how are you doing, truly” post. We genuinely want to understand.
But we do wish to know … How are you doing? How are you actually doing? Are you serene, worried, coping, struggling, composing, blocked, crazy, or something else? We would love to understand if you want to share.
Some authors have told me they do pretty much the very same thing they did prior to the pandemic – remain home and write. Other writers have informed me their world has actually altered and they are battling to make a living. Still more have told me the state of the world has plummeted them into misery.
Today we select to celebrate YOU, our writing family online. We are blessed that you pick to hang out with us weekly, on a monthly basis, every year. We wish to know how you are doing.
Here in the US, with COVID case counts spiking, things are feeling especially hard. The usual Independence Day guidelines do not apply this year. There are no parties, no fireworks, no parades. Health officials are universal in their message: “The most patriotic thing Americans can do this year is to stay at house.” Everyone does not concur.
It is an understatement to state it has actually been a hard a number of months around the globe. In the face of this pandemic, a number of our readers here at WITS are dragging. A lot of us behind the scenes are dragging. Everybody are working hard to keep our spirits up to write another day.
We hear you. We see you. We definitely think in you, and your ability to dig deep to discover your story.
The Oprah quote above resonates particularly this year. Weve all had a hard time, and weve all discovered unexpected strength in our battles.
What are you fighting with? And what unanticipated strengths have you found?
Big Hugs to YOU, from Your Team at Writers In the Storm
